    What rooms are good for dimmers?

    Dimmers are great for any room where you want to change the ambiance. With just a touch, you can transform a family room from game night (bright light) to movie night (dim light). Or create soft light in the kitchen for a quiet dinner, in the bathroom for unwinding, or in the nursery for late night feedings.

    How do I know which dimmer is right for my home?

    Lutron standalone dimmers come in two distinct styles: *Simple slide dimmers; you use the slider to adjust the light level. Our slide dimmer families include Diva, Ariadni, Skylark Contour, and Lumea.

    *Digital dimmers; you use the tapswitch to turn lights on your favorite level. These dimmers have a customizable delayed fade-to-off, which lets you leave a room before the lights go out. Maestro is our digital dimmer family.

    All of our dimmer families include LED+ options. LED+ dimmers were designed specifically for controlling dimmable LEDs (they also work with incandescents and halogens). Currently, our LED+ dimmers work with over 1,000 LEDs (we’ve tested them for compatibility).

    Is installing a dimmer difficult?
